Who we are and what this policy covers

Effective and last updated: 27 October 2026.

Focus Span is provided by Leviro, established in Lithuania. Leviro is the operator and, where applicable, controller of the personal information described in this policy. Privacy and support contact: support@focusspan.app.

This policy covers Focus Span’s native Android and macOS apps, the iPhone/iPad implementation where available, the public website at https://focusspan.app, the separate invitation-only web demo, and support correspondence. Features and data handling differ between these surfaces. Focus Span is in development; this policy does not mean that any platform has already been released or approved by an app store.

The native apps are local-first

The native apps work without a Focus Span account or a developer-operated cloud backend. They contain no advertising, analytics SDK, behavioural tracking service, or automatic remote crash-reporting integration. Android’s release app does not request Internet permission. The current macOS and iPhone implementations make no requests to a Focus Span backend.

Local records can include named profiles, schedules, selected app identifiers, domain and keyword rules, personal block notes, timer state, preferences, and onboarding, course, time-log and streak progress. On Android, supported local reports also use app usage estimates, blocked app/domain attempts and timestamps, profile pause events, visited domain hosts and time intervals in supported browsers, and daily aggregates. The local website-usage history stores browser identifiers, domain hosts and start/end times, rather than complete web addresses.

These records are used to apply the boundaries you choose and provide the app’s local features. They are not automatically sent to Leviro, synchronized between your devices, sold, or used for advertising. The apps do not request your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location for these features.

Android permissions and device information

Usage Access: Android’s system usage information, including app identifiers, activity events, durations and opens, is used locally for budgets and reports. These figures are estimates and depend on the history Android makes available.

Accessibility Service: with your authorization, Focus Span observes foreground app and window changes, identifies supported browsers’ visible address fields, and evaluates app, domain and keyword rules. A complete visible address may be examined transiently for matching. The service can perform Back or Home actions and present a native blocking or Mindful pause screen to enforce the plan you select.

Optional Strict device controls can also inspect relevant visible interface text, content descriptions, view identifiers and classes to recognize settings, uninstall, recent-app and split-screen interfaces. This interface evidence is evaluated transiently; it is not retained in the usage database or diagnostic export. Focus Span does not use Accessibility access to record messages, passwords, screen recordings or unrelated personal content, and does not transmit accessible screen information to Leviro.

Other optional permissions/settings support blocking overlays, notifications, scheduling and continued background operation. Each permission is used for the related app function. You can revoke it in Android settings; doing so may disable blocking or the associated feature. Accessibility access requires your affirmative authorization in the app’s disclosure/permission flow and Android settings.

macOS permissions and local helper

On macOS, app identifiers, selected domains, profiles, schedules, tool/progress state and preferences are stored locally in the app’s Application Support files and system preferences. The Mac app observes the app currently in use to provide app blocking and Mindful pauses. It does not provide Android-style usage reports or browsing-history reports.

Website blocking uses an administrator-approved local helper to manage selected domain entries in the Mac’s hosts configuration. The helper does not upload your rules to Leviro.

Moving Focus Span to Trash does not remove all saved files or necessarily uninstall the helper. Follow the helper-removal procedure first, then remove any app data you want deleted. Contact support@focusspan.app for the current removal instructions. Removing the helper disables website blocking that depends on it.

iPhone and iPad support

Where available, the iPhone/iPad implementation uses Apple Family Controls, Device Activity and related Screen Time frameworks. Apple represents selections with private, system-managed tokens. Tokens and restriction/schedule configuration stay in the native shared App Group; the presentation layer receives counts and status rather than selected app identifiers, domain strings or usage history. This implementation does not offer usage-history reports.

The app’s shared configuration uses protected files and is explicitly excluded from ordinary device backup. Apple controls authorization, its own Screen Time data, app extensions and shared-container lifecycle. Authorization can depend on your Apple account, device passcode or a network connection; that does not create a Focus Span cloud account.

Revoke Screen Time authorization in system settings to remove the app’s restriction capability. Apple-managed authorization records or shared artifacts may have a separate lifecycle. iPhone/iPad distribution remains subject to Apple authorization and release requirements.

Local retention and deletion

Android maintenance prunes block attempts, profile pauses and website-usage intervals older than approximately 90 days, and daily rating aggregates older than approximately 30 days. Pruning depends on the app’s maintenance running; disabling or not running it can delay removal. These limits do not determine Android’s own usage-event retention. Local operational diagnostic journals are capped at approximately 7 days and 1 MiB. Settings, profiles, preferences and progress remain until their relevant local data is removed or replaced.

Android: clearing app storage or uninstalling normally removes ordinary local app data. Device backup/restore, device-management policies and copies you exported can have separate effects.

macOS: quit the app, remove its website-blocking helper using the supported procedure, and remove the retained Application Support/preferences data as appropriate. Trashing the main app alone can leave settings and the helper in place.

iPhone/iPad: revoke Screen Time authorization and use Apple’s app/data-removal controls. The operating system manages shared containers and authorization artifacts, so deleting the app does not guarantee immediate deletion of every system-managed record.

Focus Span has no developer-operated cloud backup or sync. Eligible Android or macOS data may nevertheless be included in system, user or organization backups according to their settings. Manage those copies separately. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete native data that has never been sent to us.

Exports, diagnostics, and support

Where diagnostic export is available, you choose whether to save a JSON file through the system file dialog. Creating it does not upload it to Leviro. The export contains technical information such as app/build version, operating system, generation time, operational checks, and allowlisted event codes and timestamps. It excludes usage history, selected app/domain identifiers, profile labels and raw error details. It is not a complete export of your personal app records.

A system save/share destination can be a cloud-synced folder or an external service you choose. Those copies are subject to that destination’s terms and deletion controls.

If you contact support@focusspan.app, we process information you choose to send, such as your email, name, message, technical details, screenshots and attachments. Share only what is necessary and remove unrelated personal information. Correspondence and attachments are kept as needed to respond, follow up on the issue, keep necessary support records or meet legal obligations; information no longer needed for those purposes should be deleted or anonymized. We do not use support contact details for unrelated marketing without an appropriate separate legal basis.

Public website

The public website uses optional Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and page use. Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept analytics in the website banner. Until then, or if you reject analytics, no Google Analytics tag is loaded. With your permission, Google receives page visits, browser and device information, the referring website’s origin without its path, query string or fragment, and cookie identifiers. We measure accepted beta signup requests, optional newsletter subscriptions, selected website links and scroll-depth milestones. We exclude query strings and fragments from reported page addresses, do not track signup-management pages, and do not send email addresses, free-text form contents or management tokens to Analytics. Advertising features and personalization are disabled. Google processes this information under its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies last up to 180 days. You can change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer; rejecting analytics stops tracking and removes the Analytics cookies available to this website. Your choice does not affect the native apps or your beta signup.

The website does not use advertising trackers. Browsers and hosting infrastructure necessarily handle standard request information, which can include IP address, time, requested page or asset, user-agent/browser information, referrer and security/error details. This is used to deliver the site, investigate failures and protect it against misuse.

Request logs are retained in the hosting/container log system for operational and security needs until they are rotated or removed through maintenance; incident or legally required records may need longer retention. We do not keep this information to create advertising profiles. Public pages do not require a visitor account. Authentication/session storage is used for restricted services such as the private demo or content administration. If you join the beta list, a separate functional cookie lets you manage that signup, as described below.

Third-party links and app stores are governed by their own privacy policies.

Beta invitations and product news

If you join the website beta list, Leviro stores the email address you submit, your chosen email preferences, signup timestamps, and the version and wording of your consent in its private content management system. We use these details to contact you about Focus Span beta testing. Occasional product news is a separate, optional choice that is unchecked by default. Joining the beta list does not guarantee an invitation or a release date.

The form does not verify email ownership or send an automatic confirmation email. The mailing list is separate from the native apps and their local activity. We do not add app activity, browsing history or advertising identifiers to a signup.

After a new signup, a functional cookie named focusspan_beta stores a random management token in that browser for up to 90 days. The server stores a hash of the token. This lets you remove the signup through https://focusspan.app/beta/manage without an account. The cookie is not used for tracking or advertising.

We keep the signup while your beta or product-news request remains active, and remove it when you withdraw or the list is closed. The removal control deletes the signup from the active database and clears the browser cookie. Backups and operational logs have separate maintenance cycles and are not used as mailing lists.

To withdraw, use https://focusspan.app/beta/manage in the browser you used to join. If you used another browser, cleared its cookies or the token expired, contact support@focusspan.app from the signup address. You may also ask to remove your signup or exercise your privacy rights through that contact. To choose different email preferences, remove the signup and join again with your new choices. Future beta or product-news messages must provide a way to unsubscribe.

Website infrastructure hosts the records, and authorized Leviro administrators can manage them. No newsletter delivery provider is currently configured. If we add one, we will update the relevant provider and transfer information before introducing it. Your email is not sold or shared for advertising.

Invitation-only web demo

The invitation-only demo at https://appblocker-demo-dardarlt.web.app/ is a separate online service. Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication provide and retain authentication identifiers, email/verification information, provider claims and session information. Google may also handle the profile information associated with your sign-in under its own policy. A Firebase authentication profile can exist even if an email has not been invited.

Firestore stores approved-email invitation records, including the normalized email, the owner who added it, and the creation time. The sign-in session and selected preview device can persist in your browser’s site storage.

Simulated profiles, notes, reports, timers, settings and progress are held in the preview’s memory. They reset when that view is reloaded or Reset demo is used; separate preview sessions are independent. They are not synchronized to native apps or stored as activity/history collections in Firestore. No Analytics SDK or custom activity logging is configured in the demo. Its hosting and authentication providers may process their own request/security information.

Signing out ends the active session but does not delete the Firebase authentication profile or invitation record. To request deletion of the authentication profile and invitation we control, email support@focusspan.app. Removing an invitation alone stops access but does not delete the authentication profile. Clear browser site data to remove stored sign-in/device information, and manage your Google account and connected-app permissions with Google. Deleting demo records does not delete your Google account.

Google’s policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy and Firebase’s privacy information at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Why we process off-device information

For off-device information subject to the GDPR or similar law, Leviro relies on the legal basis appropriate to the purpose: legitimate interests in delivering and protecting the website and preventing abuse; performance of requested services or steps before a contract when responding to support or providing demo access; legal obligations where records or disclosures are required; and consent for a purpose for which consent is specifically requested. We weigh our legitimate interests against individuals’ rights.

Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it without affecting processing already lawfully performed. Revoking device permissions is separately controlled by your operating system and can stop the related native feature. A privacy policy is not a substitute for the app’s permission disclosures or any legally required consent.

Service providers, legal disclosures, and business changes

Website hosting/infrastructure, Google/Firebase authentication, and email/support providers receive the information required to provide their functions. Their roles and privacy terms can differ. Where they process information on Leviro’s behalf, they should act under the instructions and protections required by applicable law.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information we actually hold to respond to valid legal requirements, investigate security abuse, or protect lawful rights. If the relevant business is transferred, off-device records may be transferred with the safeguards and notices required by law. Native data we do not possess cannot be disclosed or transferred by us.

International processing

Native activity remains on the device unless you export or share it or a device/backup service handles it under your settings. Separately, website, authentication, hosting and email providers can process off-device information outside Lithuania or the European Economic Area.

Where Leviro is responsible for a restricted international transfer, applicable law requires an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or applicable contractual safeguards. We will provide information about the mechanism and protections that apply to a particular service or transfer on request to support@focusspan.app; this policy does not assert an unverified provider contract or storage location.

Security

Native activity is kept on the device rather than in a developer database. The website and private demo are delivered over HTTPS. Access to invitation management and content administration is restricted to authorized users; device and operating-system controls protect local files. No device, transmission or storage system is completely secure.

Protect your screen lock, operating-system and Google accounts, email and exported files. Avoid using a shared unlocked browser for the demo. Report a suspected privacy or security issue to support@focusspan.app without sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Children and family use

Focus Span is intended for personal screen-time management. Store age ratings, parental permissions and operating-system authorization rules apply to the version and device you use. We do not run a native child-monitoring cloud service, use native activity for advertising or create analytics profiles of children.

A parent, guardian or organization providing the app to a young person must use lawful authority, appropriate notices/consent and device controls. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us through support or the private demo without required permission, email support@focusspan.app so we can review and remove information where appropriate.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may revoke optional device permissions, remove local app data, reset simulated demo views, sign out, clear browser site data, and choose not to send an export. These actions have different effects, as explained above. There is no native Focus Span account to delete; the private web demo has separate authentication records.

For off-device personal information Leviro holds, applicable law may give rights to access, correct, erase, restrict processing, object, receive portable information, or withdraw consent. Email support@focusspan.app with your request and the relevant service. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and explain any lawful retention exception. We respond without undue delay and, for GDPR requests, normally within one month; any permitted extension will be explained within that first month.

You may complain to your local supervisory authority. In Lithuania this is the State Data Protection Inspectorate: https://vdai.lrv.lt/en/.

We cannot search or delete local native data never sent to us. Use the device, backup or browser controls for those records.

Changes and contact

We will publish material changes here with a revised date and provide additional notice or seek fresh consent where the law requires it. Future release features or new off-device processing will be described before they are introduced.
